Cosplay that's a real Knockout and leaves you Cold

Knockout cosplay compliments of Molly McIsaac

Superboy #15 (Watery Grave part 3)

As you see I found some more cool cosplay photos of a couple Suicide Squad short timers. Knockout was recruited for The Squad during the Watery Grave story arc in Superboy and Captain Cold who participated in a Squad mission and soon after coerced into another (issues 16 -18). The clip art above which I've never seen before I happened to find by coincidence.
I can't be sure what title it goes to but based on the villains ( The Rogues )The Squad is taking down this has to do with Operation Salvation Run in which the government was having Task Force X secretly round up criminals for exile to the prison planet. It's always a delight when I come across new Suicide Squad clip art that's been lurking unknown to me out there. My favorite panel is the one with Vertigo. The way his hand gestures are drawn is just exquisite! That's a lot harder to do then you think especially if that panel was drawn from the artist having just visualized the scene in his or her head.

I think this will be a good point to take a much needed break. I'll still be responding to comments left here. That's a lot less time consuming and tiresome then putting together these blog postings.

  2. That Knockout cosplayer did a really nice job on the costume with the details and all, but the main award goes to the Captain Cold guy! So that's what CC would like in the real world? Crazy.

Seriously, that guy's suit is super-detailed. You sure that isn't you in that blue parka:)

As for taking a break, I hear ya' man. It may not always look like much, but designing, planning, and arranging these posts/blogs so they look just right can be time consuming, depending on how much effort you want to put into these things. That's why myself, I stopped going from 5 a week to 4. Well that and I'm lazy, but still....

I don't see how guys like Dan and Googum do it 5 days a week; in Dan's case several a day!

Mad props to those crazy bastards for doing that!

Also, I was trying to post a comment on the kick-ass Firestorm post you did recently, but was having problems on my end. Anyways, yeah Ostrander took what many considered, and some still do now, a B-lister and turned his adventures into something worthy of an A-lister. The adult topics, mixed in with the continual character growth, combined to make Firestorm a popular enough hero that has countless fans all over.

I don't get how someone like Geoff Johns or the recent Firestorm writer, Joe Harris, didn't seem to learn from Ostrander's example, but it's a damn shame. The reboot pretty much killed any interest in the current version of the character for me, but Firestorm will always be Ronnie and Prof.Stein to me.

I think it he reworked version had a somewhat interesting premise, so that's why I couldn't believe Simone dropped the ball on it. I guess it showed she truly didn't want to do that project or maybe she did, but her heart wasn't in it like Secret Six was.

    3. I'm loving the Squad take down of the Rogues. It was done really well (except BT helmet). And I bet the pole is so happy (green and red dreams). Awesome Knockout.

  7. That Cold is awesome! When the costume is as little odd as Cap's is, making it work deserves even bigger props!
