What a breath of fresh air this is! Some brand new Suicide Squad fan art that has nothing to do with the WW II version, or Harley Quinn or any other aspect of the New DCU. I just found this only a few hours ago on comicartfans.com apparently it's a commission piece done by Steve Erwin. This guy is good I've featured his stuff here at least once before.
On a separate matter here I found this over at the Firestorm blog yesterday. I think it's much to do about nothing but still worth having a look at if your a Suicide Squad fan http://firestormfan.com/2014/01/16/suicide-squad-film/
Finally the real Squad. I went over to the Firestorm blog and it was nice to see the Squad still trying to break into the mainstream. Here's to hoping we make a theatrical showing.
ReplyDeletedon't hold your breath waiting for that Tiger. plus i'm quite certain they'd fuck it up any ways.
DeleteWith Arrow and the Batman Arkham arkham games leaning towards hitting the public with the Squad at roughly the same time, I think it's only a matter of when. I hope the Bleeding Cool thing is been tweaked some, because I really think to have it's best shot, the Squad the public sees needs a best-of-best roster. DC is meant to release major title relaunches in May and June, and if Arkham is a sign Deathstroke could take over the new Suicide Squad to match what players see.
ReplyDeleteAs for the art above I love it - Tiger looks familiar in the face, but don't know why - and it's got The Atom! Nice find mr!
i hope this makes you feel motivated Dan.
DeleteDan I was thinking the same thing. And if this Squad thing jumps off the line up should be the best of the best just like you said, because the mainstream needs to get that OH SHIT! these guys are real effect.
DeleteSo for the sake of argument. Who should make the line up, and what should be the approach?
i'm drawing a blank, but i haven't come empty handed check your email.
DeleteThat's not the Atom dan. It's Adam Cray, Senator Cray's son who took over the Atom's gear for awhile. He wound up dead anyways, but yeah that's who that is.
ReplyDeleteSweet Squad art though.
right you are Dale, and let's not forget Senator Cray was shot in the head by Deadshot in issue 22 which as you can imagine put an end to his political career.
