Suicide Squad issues spotted at Philadelphia newsstand

Left click to enlarge
Was reading an online article yesterday from the Philly Voice about how a Philadelphia newsstand had turned to comics to help keep business afloat. As you can see to the left there those are a copy of Suicide Squad 41 and 50. Newsstands in big cities were quite common back in the 80s but in 2016 they're about as common as an honest politician. As both an old school comic book fan and as someone who also worked in the news paper industry at one time I wish these guys the best of luck.

  1. Yeah, I actually remember those, well I saw one at an airport once, but I mostly famialr, as we old comics fans all are with the spinner racks. Hell I remember when stores like Wal-mart and grocery stores used to sell them. That's how I got my fix besides going to my LCS. Damn I miss those days. Why can't they bring spinner racks back and grocery stores (some still do) carry comics again? Who says comics stores and bookstores have to have the monopoly on that?

    1. then you'll like these postings Dale . . .

  2. Nice articles. Still miss those spinner racks though. My former LCS used to have em until they closed down.

  3. Hey, just saw this on InsidePulse.com and had to share:

DC's releasing the 4th SS trade volume. I might actually jump on this, because the storyline is very much worth it, and I don't already have these issues. I'm sure you probably do, but I figured I'd mention this anyways.

  4. Ahaa, its fastidious conversation concerning this post at this place at this weblog, I have read all that, so at this time me also commenting at this place.|
