Black Power

Fan art by Peter Temple left click to enlarge
Obviously I like this fan art other wise I wouldn't have posted it here but at the same time part of me wants to see even more black heroes from Marvel and DC in here kinda like those Marvel Universe Handbook or DC Who's Who montage covers. Off the top of my head specifically I'm thinking Luke Cage, Misty Knight, Blade, the John Stewart Green Lantern and Mr. Fantastic. Don't know if Amanda Waller quite fits the profile of what defines a "super hero" but I'd include her just on general principle.

Ok and now for another kind of black power. Just by chance today I passed through The 4th Annual Vintage Car Show in Downtown Hayward (California) while running some errands and look what they had there. Not at all a fan of the tim burton Batman films (or much of anything from burton for that matter) but I have to admit the batmobile in those movies was one of the few things they had going for them. The tumbler is my favorite though.

  1. wow, that's actually pretty cool. I especially like the way he drew Black Panther and his solid posing. Hell they're all well-drawn.

  2. I went to car shows as a kid so saw all the classics like the first Batmobile and The Chitty Chitty Bang Bang car which thrilled me to no end because I loved that vehicle.

    1. yeah i also saw the classic batmobile from the tv show it was at a con in San Jose a few years ago i always loved that car even though it makes no sense from the stand point of a vehicle a crime fighter would use. if i was gonna get shot at in my car i probably wouldn't want to be sitting in the front seat with only a open canopy for protecting. i would love to see the tumbler some day.

  3. And Waller is a superhero. Her power is being a cold hearted bitch and she is very good at her job.

  6. I would love to see these two couples team up in a mini series. But truly I've given up on seeing the Tiger represented in DC comics.

However this fan art is good, I'm really digging it. It would have been cool to see Cold Cast and Fire and Ice running with Ben and Mari.

Matter of fact, who is this artist? I want to check out more of his work.
