Crickey! finally some bleedn fan art for this blog

I big thanks to Aliera for sending . . . . or as Dan would say, flippin to me this lovely drawing. Hands down the world's biggest Captain Boomerang fan hails from Portugal! This is the good Captain in a very passionate embrace with Meloni Thawne. Her back ground is kinda complicated but apparently she's the mother of Owen Mercer and subsequently passed down her gene for super speed to him. Bravo to Aliera for showcasing the first bit of fan art on the world's only blog site devoted to the Suicide Squad. So cmon folks, I know there's at least a couple of others of you out there who have some artistic talent.

  6. Wow Aliera - that is awesome work! I love the effect you used on it too. Do you have any others in this style?

  7. when Aliera gets it it colored we'll post that one too. Craig, actually i believe Dan came up with that Deadshot posting of his own accord. i do often ask him to do stuff for me but he just always tell me to "bugger off". and just so you know Dan i tweaked this a bit in photoshop for optimal screen presentation. so i'm thinking this should inspire some of you out there to perhaps come up with something next?

  8. Dan, as a working mother of two, I haven'tt been drawing much lately. When I was a carefree single nerd girl I use to do many of this kind of drawings. Actualy I started thinking about doing this one, when I remembered I had done some changes for C. Boomerang's suit, many years ago, while we were discussing the old suit here.
Unfortunately I don't have idea of the whereabouts of those. But anyway, this is my drawing style.

  9. Aliera, I know what you're saying. I did my best work when I was single and miserable. It's been a surprisingly happy downhill slide from there. We went from a couple of artists (my wife has an art degree) who each had a pull list at the local comic shop to the typical small town parents. We both work, and when we're not, we're running kids to dance class and back, or back and forth from the track. And all 3 are taking karate, so the taxi is running every night of the week. We even had to get a minivan, which is painful to even think about but it does come in handy now and then. I don't hate it, I just have no desire to pick up a pen and paper once we finally put the girls to bed at 8.

  10. How I understand you! I start my day all energetic, but at the end of the day, comes homework for one of them, playing and watch cartoons to the other, dinner and bath and tidying the house a bit (Almost an impossible deed) and those things, like drawing and writing (once my greatest pleasures)look like one more chore.
It's horrible, when I think about it, but then, I wouldn't change anything in my life right now.
I´m lucky enough, my husband got the monovolume (He likes it). I have my Fiesta magenta, which is cute.
Still I love it when I find some time and mood to do a bit of those things I always loved.

  11. Wait...wait. Dave...Dan says.."bugger off" to you? You need to get a sound recording of this. Please? And then post it. Or just send it to me. So I can put it on a loop.

  12. Dan saying some funny kiwi expression should be made into a ring tone. i had this ex girlfriend who had gone to some fancy art school around here who told me almost all the other students were just there to work out there issues. i've done some of my best work when i was depressed. that's all because art is therapeutic. it's like an escape from all the shit in your life you want to block out for a little while.

  13. That's why we have your blogs guys. :D And I want that ring tone! Anyone else?

  14. ...and kids just suck the life out of you. I've got plenty of ideas, but little desire to see them through. And I'm rusty as hell, so half the time I do try I frustrate the hell out of myself.
