Grumpy Cat on the DC reboot

I thought it was about time Grumpy Cat made a public statement on this controversial issue.

  1. Grumpy Cat has spoken! Hey, you think he and that fuzzball Powergirl used to cart around in JLI would team up and claw Didio's eyes out?
Well, the fuzzball would. Grumpy Cat would just sit back and make sarcastic comments.

  2. Yes!!! Finally Grumpy Cat speaks....sort of.

I like a cat/person that gets right to the point on a topic, so kudos to him on that. Now what's his thoughts on health care in the US? ha ha.

    1. Grumpy Cat doesn't tackle politics without his catnip, Dale.

  4. Puff, puff pass.

But seriously, and in regards to the topic of hating the NU52, here's the point and summation I found on the forums of comicbookresources.com that I really have to agree with:

Did you guys notice that Bruce says he and Clark were dead in Batman & Robin #19?. Reminds us of Final Crisis and Doomsday, both impossible given that Darkseid and the now gods are still alive and the Death of Superman would be absolutely different except for the fact that clark dies...

This s**t is getting crazier. But, i think maybe this is about Bruce getting trained to be Batman and stuff... like the stories "before" YO.
I tend to lead toward the "DC animated movie" Death of Superman as the closest to what happened in the New 52 three years ago.

Also, Batman's encounter with Darkseid is a universal anomaly. Even in the previous DCU, the heroes were forgetting who the New Gods were after they died. In my mind, they all died and were reborn on this world with the characters continuing to not remember who they were. Batman has bits and pieces of memories, but that was also true before the reboot. He built Batman Incorporated on vague visions and fragmented memories of his time in the Sanction. Also, time had stopped and space was mostly destroyed by the end of Final Crisis. You can argue that it never really took place in ANY DC Universe. Batman basically woke up in an event where Darkseid wiped out a DC Universe, got blasted back in time, things got put back together, and everyone kinda forget.

That is literally how DC handled the first Crisis for twenty years. Half the characters that died in the first Crisis never existed immediately after, yet everyone remembered Barry dying. Batman is sort of the Barry Allen of Final Crisis. His death took place in a quantum flux anomaly.

I think the real problem is that the fans can easily detect DC's unwillingness to commit. It makes them seem unprepared and it's obvious that none of this was really planned out. They really did flush 75 years down the toilet on a half-planned gamble that's barely working now.

  5. That last line should be spray-painted all over DC's offices.

  7. Well we've been going along with DC and all the nonsense that doesn't make sense and we just go with it. I think people are finally tired of these big oversized events where important things change characters die and in a months time.....reset with some new Crisis.

    1. It starts to feel like it should end like Dallas did, originally. "Oh hey, it was all just a dream." Or that one where it ended up being all inside a snow globe. I forget the name of that particular soap opera.
