look what I just found on deviant art! I don't need to ramble about this your eyes pretty much tell you the whole story. But I want to mention how it does remind me of back in the original Suicide Squad #46 during their mission in Israel against Kobra (issues 45,46 and 47) when Poison Ivy had Count Vertigo for a while as her private pool side cabana boy toy.
I can think of worse forms of subjugation.
That is an awesome DeviantART mate - and a great scene. I loved that about the Suicide Squad, all other teams had someone threaten to kill another at some point in time, but with the squad it didn't just happen daily, it was a regular occurrence!
ReplyDeleteGreat post!
The threats in the Squad could turn out to be the real thing. I remember Slipknot getting his arm blown off thinking Amanda was something to play with.
DeleteThe Squad felt like a real team of people not just heroes and villains. attitudes and character sometimes most times got in the way of the mission and that's one of the things that made it good.
Damn beautiful art. I may have to spend some "private playtime" with a giant life-size cardboard cut out Family Guy style with her;)
ReplyDeletethanks Dan, it's stuff like this that made the old DCU great and the new one (especially the Squad reboot) complete ass.
ReplyDeleteTiger OA1, it's called keepin it real. that's what Ostrander did for the old school Squad. same goes for Greg Rucka when he wrote Squad stuff in Checkmate.
Dale, i think something some what larger then pin hole in that card board cut out should be big enough for you huh?
Oh, I don't know. A pin hole might make a challenging target, don't you think?
DeleteIvy is always a beautiful subject. And it always struck me as odd that she had to resort to pheromones to get guys to worship at her feet. But then, she does have that whole crazy psychotic thing working against her. Eh, six of one, half a dozen of the other.
ReplyDeleteYeah, I think I'll need a bigger hole than pin-sized to get any fun out her, but we can keep that same sized-hole for you when you need her buddy;)
ReplyDeleteWow! I can't say more than that, Ben. Lovely picture and memory
