So I'm really in need of s little something to boost my spirits and this scene with Captain Boomerang from Suicide Squad # 32 (1989) never ceases to amuse me. I love this clip art for two reasons, one because it's Boomerang at some of his best and two because I love to see my favorite writers make political commentaries that are inline with my views. Aside from Boomerang's antics in the heat of battle Ostrander is obviously offering his on views about iran's tyrannical ayatollhas and their religious fundamentalist polices.
Now I know there's no real substitute for now getting a weekly dose of a new ass kicking episode of Young Justice but this might ease your withdrawal symptoms a bit. This is a really well done video montage of some of the best Young Justice moments complimented by a really good sound track. I do hate most of those fan made music videos from TV shows but this one is an exception: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d36o32eZUyY
That was a cool video indeed. And who doesn't love seeing Bummer Butt do this thing? What exactly is the plot of this issue in general?
ReplyDeleteah yes i'm glad you asked. the Suicide Squad was sent into iran to go rescue a high profile political refugee that was scheduled for public execution. he was captured when he snuck back into the country out of fear of govt. threats against his family that was still there. i'd have to double check the issue but i think that was just a govt. ruse to lure him back into the country to be captured. good stuff, right up my alley as you can see.
DeleteHilarious, this is Digger at his very best. And the video is Outstanding. It didn't miss a lic.
Deleteah yes the good ol days of the Squad. hey OA1 you don't know it yet but you're gonna help me out with my next posting.
DeleteWell now I'm curious.
DeleteCool. I'm down.
DeleteAyatollah Boomerang!
ReplyDeleteIt's Boomerang at his most in Character :)
It's been a while.
Have a nice passover celebration. This weekend I went to a Medieval Sinagog in a medieval castle-town Castelo de Vide. I love to see the ancient artefacts and customs and also the way the town still celebrates a mix of costums between Judaism and Christianism, specially, this time of the year.
Obviously I thought of you.
Hugs
i had a feeling you'd enjoy this posting but aside from that it's always nice to know you're thinking about The Shlomo, hugs.
DeleteThat had to be a blast Aliera. I remember going to the Renaissance festival, had a great time. I took my son he was younger at the time. I was trying to act all mature and stuff (masking the excitement) when I really wanted to dress up and sword fight with other grown kids. It was a couple of guys there that let loose and was having a ball (in a good way) turkey legs, beer, barbarian outfits, the whole nine. I wanted to hang with them, but I just watched as they kissed winches and acted a fool all day long.
DeleteDale, Shlomo where were you when I needed you?
Excellent video. Although it did hit home all the plotlines they could have explored in upcoming seasons. I won't list them all. I'm sure we're all thinking mostly the same things.
ReplyDeleteSpeaking of back issues, I need to dig out my old Young Justice comics, for my kids. My daughter was trying to get me to relent on Halloween again, because she's got this fixation on Black Canary, and I won't let her go as her until she's much, much, older. So she came back with, "Well, who's a cool super heroine I can be then?" and I said Wonder Girl. Now, I really meant Donna, but Cassie works just as well, but the only Cassie she knows is from the cartoon, and she says she is "kinda lame, and not nice". Yeah. I sorta couldn't talk to her for a bit without risk of yelling.
I'm going to force feed her comics for while.
huh, my scarab is telling me that tactic will be ineffectual. that's a quote by the way.
DeleteCute. Very cute. Don't make me come over there.
